Occupational Therapist

Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care)
Schedule: Part-time hours. Employee will work three 8-hour shifts one week and 2 the next week. There is a requirement of 2 weekend days per month and a holiday rotation schedule.

Role Overview
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in evaluating and treating patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial deficits. Your expertise will directly impact patients' ability to perform independent living skills, enhancing their overall well-being. You will support patients, their families, and caregivers by providing education and guidance throughout the therapy process.

What You Will Do
Assess patients' ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
Design and implement appropriate plans of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
Document findings of patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
Educate patients and families/caregivers about patient deficits and the use of adaptive equipment.
Plan and assist with patient discharge from therapy services.
Oversee the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR) credentialed from the Michigan Board of Occupational Therapists.
Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree.
Acute Care Experience.
