It intelligently balances Kubernetes workloads and nodes to maintain performance and efficiency. Zoorik’s approach requires no downtime and no maintenance windows, allowing engineering teams to focus on building products rather than managing manual infrastructure adjustments.
Role Description The Software Engineer Intern will work full time on-site at Zoorik’s Bengaluru office, collaborating with the engineering team to build and improve cloud optimization features. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and testing backend services, writing clean and efficient code, and assisting in the integration of monitoring and automation components for storage and Kubernetes workloads. The intern will help debug issues, contribute to code reviews, and support the deployment and maintenance of production-ready systems. The role offers hands-on experience with real-world infrastructure challenges and opportunities to learn best practices in modern software engineering.
Qualifications
Solid foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern language (such as Python, Java, Go, or C++).
Understanding of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to apply them in code design.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and basic concepts of containers or Kubernetes is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and code quality.
Ability to collaborate in a team environment, communicate clearly, and learn quickly from feedback.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
