Role Description The Data Analyst will work on-site in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area under a contract arrangement, supporting projects for Galco Soft’s global clients. This role involves collecting, cleaning, and validating data from multiple sources, performing exploratory and statistical analysis, and building data models to support business decisions. The Data Analyst will create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate trends, performance metrics, and insights to stakeholders. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with project managers, engineers, and consultants to translate business requirements into analytical tasks, documenting methodologies, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency. The role also includes presenting findings in clear, concise formats and recommending data-driven improvements for processes and solutions.
Qualifications
Strong quantitative foundation with skills in Statistics and Data Analytics to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
Solid Analytical Skills and experience in Data Modeling to structure data for reporting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
Effective Communication skills to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in data tools such as Excel, SQL, and at least one analytics or BI platform (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Experience with a programming language used in data analysis (e.g., Python or R) and familiarity with data visualization best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work on-site in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area and manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
Experience in IT services, consulting, or domain areas such as FinTech, Healthcare, Retail, EdTech, Logistics, or Manufacturing is an advantage.
