Role Description The Data Engineer - Intern role is a contract position based on-site in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. The intern will assist in building and maintaining data pipelines, supporting Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, and preparing data for analytics and reporting. Day-to-day tasks include working with team members to design and implement data models, help organize and document data warehouses, and validate data quality and integrity. The role will also involve collaborating with engineers and analysts on data-related projects, troubleshooting issues in data workflows, and learning best practices in data engineering within a professional IT services environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess foundational skills in Data Engineering and be comfortable working with modern data platforms and tools.
Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling to design, structure, and organize data for efficient storage and retrieval.
Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Data Warehousing to support data integration, consolidation, and management.
Candidates should possess skills in Data Analytics to interpret data, generate insights, and support decision-making.
Basic knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python or Java) is beneficial.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to document work clearly and accurately are required.
Ability to collaborate in a team, communicate effectively, and learn new tools and technologies quickly is important.
Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
