Role Description This is a contract, on-site role for a Hadoop Developer - Intern based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. The intern will assist in configuring, deploying, and maintaining Hadoop clusters under the guidance of senior engineers, helping to ensure performance, reliability, and security. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting data ingestion workflows, contributing to ETL processes, and assisting in building and optimizing big data pipelines and data warehouse structures. The role involves monitoring system health, troubleshooting issues in Hadoop environments, and documenting configurations, procedures, and best practices. The intern may also collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, participate in code reviews, and contribute to proof-of-concept projects for big data solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Hadoop and basic experience or coursework related to Hadoop Administration.
Candidates should possess skills in Big Data concepts and hands-on exposure to Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes.
Candidates should possess understanding of Data Warehousing principles and experience working with or studying data warehouse architectures.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an interest in large-scale data systems.
Candidates should possess familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and basic scripting (such as Python, Shell, or similar).
Candidates should possess good communication skills and the ability to collaborate in an on-site team setting.
Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Exposure to distributed systems, SQL/NoSQL databases, or cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) is beneficial.
