Role Description The Cinematographer will be responsible for planning, shooting, and visually shaping video and film projects for brand campaigns, advertisements, social media content, and corporate films. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with directors and creative teams on storyboards, selecting appropriate camera setups and lenses, designing lighting schemes, and ensuring visual consistency with brand guidelines. The role also involves supervising on-set camera and lighting crews, optimizing shot composition, and maintaining high technical standards across all video deliverables. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata, requiring regular coordination with in-house creatives and participation in pre-production and production meetings.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Cinematography and Camera Operation, with the ability to translate creative concepts into compelling visual narratives.
Hands-on experience in Video Production and Film Production, including pre-production planning and on-set execution.
Proficiency in Lighting design and setup for various environments and moods, ensuring high-quality, consistent visuals.
Familiarity with professional cameras, lenses, and accessories, as well as basic knowledge of video editing workflows and formats.
Ability to work collaboratively with directors, producers, and creative teams, and to manage time effectively on fast-paced shoots.
Relevant education in Film, Media, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in cinematography.
Portfolio or showreel demonstrating diverse cinematography work; experience in agency or commercial projects is an advantage.
