About the role
WorkeronAI is hiring a Strong Middle Data Engineer for a long-term project with a large international retailer. You will join a newly created Operational Data Product Team that builds an integrated, governed and timely Supply Chain Management data product used for strategic reporting, direct integration into transactional processes and future AI initiatives. The solution will become the blueprint for the client's next data products, so your design decisions will have a lasting impact.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to analyze data requirements
Lead the design and implementation of data models and database structures
Design and build complex batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple source systems into the data platform
Profile, refactor and tune database performance
Ensure data integrity, consistency and accuracy through data quality measures
Review and mentor team members
Contribute to the project's data strategy and align it with business objectives
Requirements
4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
Advanced Python
Advanced SQL
Hands-on batch and streaming ETL/ELT on Databricks: Delta Lake, Structured Streaming, Auto Loader, Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, Databricks Workflows, Git integration
Azure: Data Lake Storage Gen2, Data Factory, Azure Functions
English sufficient for daily communication with an international team
Located in Ukraine
Nice to have
Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional
