About Geekashram
Geekashram is a live online learning platform helping students from Class 3–12 learn Coding, AI, Web Development, Robotics and other future-ready skills through live, project-based learning.
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer Intern who wants to work on a real-world EdTech product and take ownership of features across the entire technology stack.
What You'll Do
As a Software Development Engineer Intern, you will work closely with the core team to build, improve, and maintain Geekashram's web applications.
You will:
Develop and maintain full-stack features from frontend to backend.
Build responsive and scalable web interfaces using Next.js.
Develop REST APIs and backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
Work with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL for application data.
Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS.
Debug production issues and improve application performance.
Integrate third-party APIs and services.
Work with authentication, authorization, payments, notifications, dashboards, and other product features.
Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
Participate in code reviews and follow good software engineering practices.
Take ownership of features from requirement → development → testing → deployment → maintenance.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of JavaScript.
Good knowledge of React.js and Next.js.
Experience with Node.js and Express.js.
Working knowledge of MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL.
Understanding of REST APIs and backend development.
Basic understanding of Git and GitHub.
Familiarity with AWS and cloud deployment.
Understanding of HTML, CSS and responsive web development.
Ability to debug problems independently.
What We Are Looking For
We are not looking for someone who only knows how to build UI screens.
We are looking for someone who can understand a feature end-to-end and take responsibility for making it work in production.
You should be comfortable asking:
"What happens from the moment a user clicks this button until the data is stored, processed, and displayed back to the user?"
If you enjoy solving problems, building products, debugging issues, and learning by working on a real application, this role is for you.
Good to Have
Experience building and deploying personal or college projects.
Experience with AWS services.
Knowledge of TypeScript.
Familiarity with Docker.
Understanding of CI/CD.
Experience with payment gateways or third-party API integrations.
Experience working on an existing production application.
Open-source contributions or a strong GitHub portfolio.
Eligibility
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical programme.
Students from any year can apply, provided they can commit to the internship.
Strong preference for candidates who are available for a longer-term internship.
This opportunity is specifically for current college students.
Compensation & Growth
💰 Stipend: Up to ₹15,000 per month
The stipend will be decided based on your existing experience, technical skills, projects, and interview performance.

Candidates who demonstrate strong technical performance, ownership, consistency, and contribution during the internship may receive a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) after graduation.
