Role Description The Cloud Consultant will work in a remote, contract capacity, advising clients on the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing existing infrastructure and applications, recommending cloud architectures, and guiding migration and modernization efforts. The role involves collaborating with product and engineering teams to define integration strategies, ensure secure and scalable deployments, and align solutions with business objectives. The Cloud Consultant will prepare technical documentation, conduct knowledge transfer sessions, and provide ongoing support and performance tuning. This position requires proactive communication with stakeholders and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
Qualifications
Strong consulting skills, including client engagement, requirements gathering, and solution presentation.
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, security, and scalability.
Background in software development and integration, including APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency in solution architecture, covering design patterns, cloud-native services, and system reliability.
Solid understanding of automation, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is beneficial.
Familiarity with SaaS products related to ATS, communication tools, and workforce management is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
