Role Description The Insurance Producer is a full-time remote role responsible for developing and managing a book of construction-focused insurance and surety business. Day-to-day activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting needs assessments with contractors, and recommending appropriate insurance and surety solutions across the full coverage stack. The role involves preparing proposals, presenting coverage options, and guiding clients through the application, underwriting, and binding processes. The Insurance Producer will maintain ongoing relationships with clients, provide responsive customer service and policy support, and collaborate with internal underwriting and operations teams to ensure accurate placement and retention. This position requires consistent pipeline management, documentation in CRM tools, and adherence to regulatory and company standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Insurance Sales and Insurance knowledge, preferably with experience in commercial lines or construction-focused coverage.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to explain complex coverage in accessible terms.
Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, relationship-building, and long-term client retention.
Candidates should possess familiarity with Employee Benefits or a willingness to learn benefit-related products that may complement core insurance offerings.
Relevant qualifications include a valid insurance producer license (or eligibility to obtain one), experience selling to or working with contractors, and comfort working in a remote, technology-enabled environment.
Additional beneficial skills include basic understanding of construction operations, competency with CRM and productivity tools, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive, goal-oriented work style.
