Client Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly experienced UKG Integration Specialist to support ongoing workforce management and HCM integration initiatives. This consultant will partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and third-party vendors to design, build, troubleshoot, and optimize integrations between UKG and downstream enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in UKG platforms and a proven track record delivering integrations in complex enterprise environments.
Job Description:
The UKG Integration Specialist will lead the development, configuration, testing, and support of interfaces between UKG and connected systems including payroll, benefits, ERP, identity management, and other HR technologies. This individual will act as the subject matter expert for integration architecture and data flows, ensuring reliable and secure transmission of workforce data across the organization.
Responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, designing integration solutions, troubleshooting interface issues, coordinating testing efforts, and supporting go-live activities. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders to improve data quality, optimize existing integrations, and implement new interfaces as business needs evolve.
Skill Set Requirements:
5+ years of experience supporting and configuring UKG (Pro, Dimensions, Workforce Central, or related platforms)
Strong experience building and maintaining UKG integrations
Hands-on experience with:
API integrations (REST/SOAP)
SFTP file transfers
Data mapping and transformation
Middleware/integration tools
Ability to troubleshoot inbound and outbound interface issues
Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, Timekeeping, and Workforce Management data structures
Experience leading integration testing, validation, and deployment activities
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Haves:
UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) experience
UKG Boomi Integration experience
Experience integrating UKG with:
Workday
Oracle
SAP
Active Directory/Azure AD
Benefits administration platforms
Healthcare industry experience
Prior participation in UKG implementation or optimization projects
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
Education/Certification(s)/License(s):
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), or related field preferred
UKG certifications highly preferred
Relevant integration, middleware, or cloud certifications are a plus
Deliverables:
Assess and document current-state UKG integrations
Design and implement new integration workflows as required
Resolve integration defects and data transmission issues
Complete end-to-end testing and validation of interfaces
Provide knowledge transfer and technical documentation
Support project go-live and post-production stabilization activities
Deliver recommendations for long-term integration optimization and support processes
