About The Role
We are seeking a dependable and technically capable individual to join our team as a Website & SEO Technical Assistant. This is an entry-level, full-time position designed for candidates eager to learn and grow within the digital technology space. The successful applicant will play a vital role in managing website operations, monitoring SEO performance, assisting with content updates, and testing website plugins and functionalities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or candidates with basic technical training to develop practical skills in website management, SEO analysis, and troubleshooting in a supportive environment. While prior experience is not mandatory, strong computer literacy, a keen interest in technology, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of computer applications and internet technologies. Candidates with COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant) training through an ITI are highly encouraged to apply. Educational qualifications such as BCA, B.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Technology, Diploma in Computer Science or IT, Polytechnic diplomas, MCA, or similar recognized certifications are preferred. However, we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn over extensive experience. Strong written and spoken English skills, attention to detail, organizational abilities, and problem-solving aptitude are crucial. Candidates should have reliable internet access and a computer suitable for daily work tasks. Basic familiarity with WordPress, HTML, CSS, and website hosting platforms is helpful but not required, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of website operations, technical monitoring, content management, and testing activities. Specific duties include:
Monitoring website keyword rankings, search visibility, and Google search rankings; reviewing Google Search Console data to track indexing, impressions, and clicks.
Preparing and maintaining detailed SEO performance reports; tracking changes and identifying significant fluctuations for further analysis.
Assisting with content updates by adding new articles, editing existing pages, formatting text, images, links, and internal references within WordPress.
Managing website structure by configuring menus, widgets, and settings; installing, updating, and troubleshooting WordPress plugins and themes.
Conducting basic website maintenance, troubleshooting common issues, and ensuring website functionality after updates.
Testing new and existing plugins, following testing protocols, documenting bugs or issues, and reporting findings to the development team.
Making basic HTML/CSS modifications when necessary to enhance website presentation or fix issues.
Supporting the testing and validation of new website features and plugins to ensure compatibility and performance before deployment.
While prior experience in SEO or web development is not required, a proactive attitude towards learning and problem-solving is essential. Training will be provided to familiarize the candidate with our tools, processes, and best practices.
