Role Description The Senior Operations Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring service quality, and driving process efficiency. This position leads and supports operations teams, sets performance expectations, and monitors key metrics related to delivery timelines, cost management, and customer satisfaction. The Senior Operations Manager coordinates with internal stakeholders and external partners, resolves operational issues, and implements standardized procedures and best practices. Responsibilities include resource planning, workload prioritization, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics network. The role also involves creating reports for leadership, supporting strategic projects, and fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in operations management, logistics, or supply chain leadership with responsibility for teams and budgets.
Strong skills in process improvement, workflow optimization, and performance measurement using KPIs and data analysis.
Ability to manage remote teams, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and communicate clearly in written and verbal formats.
Experience with logistics or transportation management systems and proficiency in common business software tools (e.g., spreadsheets, reporting tools).
Proven capability in strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making in fast-paced operational environments.
Knowledge of compliance, safety standards, and quality assurance practices in logistics or related industries.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
