Role Description The Finance Operations Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the financial processes that support day-to-day logistics operations. This position manages financial reporting cycles, ensures accurate accounting entries, and monitors budgets and forecasts related to transportation and supply chain activities. The role includes analyzing operational and financial data, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to cost efficiency and margin performance. The Finance Operations Manager collaborates with operations, accounting, and leadership teams to align financial practices with business objectives, maintain compliance with relevant policies, and support month-end and year-end close. Daily responsibilities also include streamlining finance workflows, implementing controls, and providing clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
Qualifications
Strong Operations Management skills, with experience aligning financial processes to logistics or supply chain workflows.
Robust Analytical Skills for interpreting financial and operational data, building reports, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
Solid Finance knowledge, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and cost analysis.
Proficiency in Accounting and Financial Reporting, including GAAP concepts, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
Experience with ERP or financial systems and advanced skills in spreadsheets or data analysis tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries is beneficial.
