Role Description The Advisor – Life Insurance role at LIC is a part-time, hybrid position based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for some work from home. Advisors engage with prospective and existing clients to understand their financial protection needs and recommend suitable LIC insurance and investment products. Day-to-day activities include generating leads, scheduling and conducting client meetings, explaining product features and benefits, completing application documentation, and supporting clients through policy issuance and servicing. Advisors are expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of LIC products, regulatory guidelines, and market trends, and to collaborate with branch staff and other advisors to meet sales and service goals. The role involves regular follow-up with clients, building long-term relationships, and promoting LIC’s solutions in a professional, customer-centric manner.
Qualifications
Strong communication, interpersonal, and consultation skills to explain insurance concepts clearly and build trust with diverse clients.
Sales and customer service abilities, including lead generation, relationship management, and handling client queries and concerns.
Basic financial literacy and ability to understand life insurance, health insurance, pension plans, and related products.
Organizational and time-management skills to coordinate client meetings, maintain records, and balance field work with remote tasks.
Comfort working in a hybrid environment, including field visits in Bengaluru and using digital tools for remote communication and documentation.
Minimum educational qualification as per LIC and regulatory requirements (typically completion of secondary or higher secondary education); higher education in commerce, finance, or business is an advantage.
Integrity, professionalism, and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards in all client interactions.
Prior experience in sales, financial services, or insurance advisory is beneficial but motivated newcomers willing to learn are encouraged to apply.
