Role Description This is a full-time Insurance Agent role based in Katni, structured as a hybrid position with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Insurance Agent will identify potential clients, explain LIC’s insurance products, and recommend suitable plans based on individual financial goals and protection needs. Daily activities include meeting clients, conducting needs assessments, preparing proposals, and assisting with policy applications and documentation. The role involves providing ongoing customer service, handling queries and claims-related support, and maintaining strong long-term relationships with policyholders. The Insurance Agent will also engage in regular follow-ups, participate in local marketing and outreach initiatives, and meet sales and performance targets set by LIC.
Qualifications
Strong insurance sales and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term client relationships.
Knowledge of insurance products and basic insurance principles, including life and health insurance.
Understanding of finance-related concepts to help clients align insurance solutions with their financial goals.
Familiarity with insurance brokerage activities and the ability to compare and present product options clearly.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in local language(s) and English preferred.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets in a hybrid work environment.
Basic computer skills for digital documentation, online policy servicing, and use of LIC systems and tools.
Minimum educational qualification of high school completion; a college degree in business, finance, or related fields is an advantage.
Prior experience in sales, finance, or insurance is beneficial but motivated beginners with strong learning orientation are encouraged to apply.
