Role Description The Excellence Operational Director is a full-time remote role responsible for driving operational excellence across Temasek Holdings’ advisory and business development activities. This role oversees end-to-end operational processes, ensuring service quality, efficiency, and consistency in client engagements, from market entry projects to M&A advisory mandates. Daily responsibilities include designing and improving operational frameworks, setting performance metrics, supervising cross-functional teams, and optimizing resource allocation and budgeting. The Excellence Operational Director collaborates closely with consulting, finance, and business development teams to standardize best practices, resolve operational issues, and enhance client experience. The role also involves monitoring operational risks, preparing performance reports for senior leadership, and leading continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives.
Qualifications
Strong Operations Management experience, including process design, optimization, and implementation of best practices.
Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret performance data, identify trends, and support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Proven Team Management capabilities, including leading remote teams, coaching team members, and fostering collaboration.
Demonstrated Budgeting skills, with experience in resource planning, cost control, and financial performance monitoring.
Commitment to high-quality Customer Service, ensuring responsive, reliable, and solutions-oriented client interactions.
Experience in professional services, consulting, or advisory environments; exposure to industrial sectors or M&A is an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects concurrently, and adapt to evolving client needs.
