Role Description The Area Sales Manager role at Peters Surgical India (Advanced Medical Solutions) is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The role involves managing sales activities within an assigned territory, including planning and executing strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share for surgical devices. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with healthcare professionals and hospital decision-makers, conducting product presentations and demonstrations, and providing ongoing support to existing customers. The Area Sales Manager will analyze market trends, identify new business opportunities, and coordinate with internal teams on pricing, supply, and product availability. The role also includes maintaining accurate sales reports, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in medical device or healthcare sales, with a strong understanding of hospital and surgical environments.
Demonstrated ability in territory management, account development, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
Analytical skills for interpreting sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
Ability to work independently on-site in Bengaluru, manage time effectively, and travel within the assigned area as required.
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent commercial qualification is an advantage.
Familiarity with the medical device regulatory environment and adherence to ethical sales practices.
Comfort using CRM tools, MS Office, and digital communication platforms to manage pipelines and reporting.
