Role Description The Engineering Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Canada. This role is responsible for leading and mentoring engineering teams, overseeing end-to-end software development, and ensuring high-quality delivery of technology solutions that support internal operations and client-facing platforms. The Engineering Manager will plan and manage projects, coordinate cross-functional collaboration, and align engineering efforts with business objectives. Daily activities include setting technical direction, reviewing designs and code, managing timelines and resources, resolving integration challenges, and implementing best practices in engineering processes. The role also involves partnering with product, operations, and leadership teams to improve systems that support immigration consulting services and enhance overall efficiency.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Engineering Management and Team Leadership, with experience mentoring and growing diverse technical teams.
Strong background in Software Development, including modern architectures, coding standards, and collaborative development practices.
Proven ability in Project Management, covering planning, estimation, execution tracking, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
Hands-on experience with system Integration, APIs, and ensuring interoperability between multiple platforms and tools.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience managing engineering teams in product or service-oriented organizations; exposure to consulting or professional services is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-informed decisions and prioritize effectively.
Clear, inclusive communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with agile methodologies, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement of processes and tools.
