Job Purpose
To plan, execute, and supervise civil engineering works on site in RAK, ensuring compliance with RAK Municipality regulations, project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements from mobilization through project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage day-to-day civil engineering activities on site, including structural, foundation, and finishing works
Ensure all site activities comply with RAK Municipality codes, approvals, and regulatory requirements
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders
Monitor project progress against schedules and escalate delays or risks proactively
Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure work meets approved standards
Oversee site safety practices and ensure adherence to HSE regulations
Prepare and maintain technical reports, site diaries, progress reports, and documentation
Liaise with RAK Municipality and other regulatory bodies for approvals, inspections, and NOCs as required
Manage material and resource planning in coordination with procurement and site teams
Support cost control and variation management on site
Attend site meetings and provide technical input to project decisions
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
10–15 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with significant site/project experience in the UAE
Mandatory: Valid RAK Municipality approval/registration to practice and work on-site in RAK
Sound knowledge of UAE construction codes, standards, and practices
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications
Familiarity with construction management software/tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera – as applicable)
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and site execution processes
