Logistics Process Development Engineer

We are currently looking for our future Logistics Process Development Engineer who will be based in Stemmann Polska.
Our plant Stemmann Polska is located in Katy Wroclawskie. Since 2014, the company is part of Wabtec Corporation, a global provider of technologies, products, systems, digital solutions and value-added services for the rail freight and transport sector. For more than 100 years Stemmann is one of the world’s leading manufactures of energy and data transfer components and systems in industrial and transport technology.
Who will you be working with?
You will be reporting to the Supply Chain Manager
Ownership and key responsibilities:
Responsibility for optimizing internal logistics processes, including process mapping and improvement, as well as WMS optimization. Leading processes implementation, Lean, and system-related projects. Providing expert support for inventory, scrapping, and stock reclassification processes. Maintaining warehouse system structures. Supporting cost optimization and striving for operational excellence through proactive management and the continuous improvement of logistics processes.
Main Authorities and Missions
• Driving process improvements and cost optimization initiatives within the logistics function.
• Monitoring team performance and providing guidance and support to ensure high service levels.
• Implementing a data-driven culture
• Collaborating with internal departments (production, procurement, quality) to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Requirements:
• Higher degree/Masters in Logistics or Supply chain.
• At least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry (mainly in international transport, custom clearance, planning transport routes)
• Strong knowledge of warehouse and transportation documentation and procedures.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers and logistics partners.
• Experience managing or mentoring a logistics or shipping team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP system knowledge is an advantage.
• Category B driving license is nice to have
• Fluent in English and Polish.
