We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Creative Designer to join Omnicom Production, supporting our creative and production teams. The role will be responsible for developing design concepts and solutions, executing creative communications across print and digital media, and ensuring high-quality production delivery that meets brand standards of innovation and excellence.
The ideal candidate combines strong creative and design skills with technical expertise, artistic intuition, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with creative, production, account, media, and strategic planning teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop design concepts and creative solutions based on creative briefs and clients’ business strategies.
* Execute and produce design communications across diverse media, including print, digital, video, and interactive formats.
* Oversee design production to ensure all executed work upholds the brands’ standards of innovation and excellence.
* Partner with Creatives to develop concepts and independently take projects through to completion.
* Present creative work and concepts to internal clients and senior management.
* Work closely with project managers to support project estimation, budgets, and schedules.
* Consult with account, media, and strategic planning teams to understand products or services and determine effective visual expressions for projects.
* Execute creative assignments independently as well as in collaboration with studio artists and other production teams.
* Apply critical thinking to creative objectives and develop elegant, simple, and effective design solutions.
* Design across a variety of styles while maintaining consistently high standards of quality.
* Support mechanical production and build mechanicals incorporating Adstream workflows for studio production.
* Utilize Approvals Plus for trafficking work when appropriate.
* Work within the ManagePlus (WIP) system and ensure accurate tracking of work.
* Maintain fiscal responsibility by ensuring timesheets are completed and all billable items are entered into the studio billing system.
* Support the hiring, interviewing, and training of design staff as required.
* Collaborate effectively across creative, strategy, business, and production teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
* Perform other duties as assigned and work flexible hours when required.
What We’re Looking For
* 6+ years of experience in design and production.
* A strong portfolio demonstrating typography, design, layout, and visual composition skills.
* Strong communication skills and artistic intuition.
* Strong technical skills with the ability to efficiently translate creative concepts into high-quality outputs.
* Strong understanding of design, colour, typography, layout, and image composition.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
* Strong creative vision, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
* Self-motivated, professional, and detail-oriented approach.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to work within a flexible and evolving production process to meet client requirements.
* Strong typographic and mechanical preparation skills.
* Strong knowledge of input and output devices such as desktop scanners, colour printers, and large-format inkjet devices.
* Ability to identify the appropriate tools and production methods based on project requirements and deadlines.
* Ability to foster a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
Added Skills
* Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
* Strong knowledge of software programs within the Mac environment.
* Experience with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD would be an added advantage.
* Experience with Adstream workflows and Approvals Plus.
* Experience working with production management and workflow systems such as ManagePlus (WIP).
* Experience in mechanical production and preparation for studio production.
