Typical shift: 2:00 AM – 9:00 AM or sometimes 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM, depending on project requirements.
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced ETL / Data QA Tester with 5+ years of experience in SQL, ETL testing, Functional Testing, and UI Testing. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data validation and testing and should be comfortable working with databases and data pipelines.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure Databricks and Snowflake will be highly preferred.
This is a fully remote contractual opportunity involving work with a US-based client, offering strong exposure to international projects and data-testing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform ETL and data validation testing to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Develop and execute SQL queries for data validation and testing.
Perform Functional Testing and UI Testing based on project requirements.
Validate data across source and target systems.
Identify, document, track, and retest defects/bugs.
Perform regression and integration testing as required.
Work with development and project teams to understand requirements and resolve testing issues.
Support production-related issues, bugs, and data-related problems when required.
Participate in additional support activities as per project requirements.
Maintain appropriate test cases, test results, and defect documentation.
Mandatory Skills
5+ years of experience in QA / ETL / Data Testing.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL.
Strong experience in ETL Testing.
Experience in Functional Testing.
Experience in UI Testing.
Good understanding of data validation and database testing.
Ability to analyze requirements and prepare/execute test cases.
Good defect reporting and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Azure Databricks.
Experience with Snowflake.
Exposure to cloud databases/data platforms.
Experience working on US/international client projects.
Experience in production support, bug fixing, or data-related issue resolution.
Compensation & Contract Terms
This is a purely contractual engagement and not a regular salaried employment position.
No regular salary structure/payslip will be provided; payment will be made as per the agreed contractual terms.
Work from Home.
Company/client-provided laptop will be provided directly by the client.
No VDI requirement; the candidate will work using the provided company laptop.
Additional payment may be provided for extra working days/support, such as production support, urgent bugs, or project-related issues, as applicable.
Additional perks/benefits may be available if provided by the client/vendor.
Candidate Requirements
Candidate must be based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Comfortable working in the specified shift timings.
Willing to work under a contractual engagement.
Able to work independently in a remote environment.
