Role Description The Guidewire Principal Architect will lead end-to-end solution architecture for complex Guidewire implementations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise standards in a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role involves defining and validating architectural blueprints, guiding technical design decisions, and establishing best practices for Guidewire configuration, customization, integration, and performance. The Principal Architect will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and integration teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and oversee their delivery. Daily responsibilities include reviewing technical designs and code, resolving architectural and integration issues, mentoring development teams, and conducting architecture and design governance reviews. The role also includes evaluating new Guidewire features and related technologies, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting pre-sales or client workshops as needed.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Architecture and Architectural Design for large-scale, mission-critical enterprise systems, preferably within the insurance domain.
Hands-on experience in Software Development, including Guidewire configuration/customization and related technologies (e.g., Java, Gosu, APIs).
Proficiency in Integration design and implementation, including web services, REST APIs, middleware, and third-party system connectivity.
Extensive experience with Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) and associated tools or accelerators.
Strong understanding of insurance business processes, data models, and digital transformation initiatives.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams; ability to establish and enforce coding and design standards.
