The role
We're looking for someone to own Alaro's Social Media - not just make posts, but decide what goes out as a company and why. You'll plan, design, shoot, edit and publish content, and you'll see directly how it performs.
What you'll do
- Own the Instagram content calendar: decide what gets posted, when, and in what format
- Design static posts, carousels, stories and ad creatives
- Shoot and edit Reels and short-form video, product demos, behind-the-scenes, explainers, trends
- Turn product features into simple, scroll-stopping stories
- Write captions and hooks that sound like Alaro
- Track what's working (reach, saves, shares, follows) and adjust
- Work closely with the founders, product and design teams, and brief external agencies when needed
What we're looking for?
- A strong eye for design layout, typography, colour and a portfolio to show it
- Hands-on with Canva, Figma or Adobe (Photoshop/Illustrator), plus a video editor (CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar)
- Comfortable shooting on a phone and being around (or in front of) the camera
- Clear, confident communication written and spoken
- You follow Instagram closely and know why some content works and some doesn't
- You take ownership: you'd rather propose an idea than wait for a brief
Nice to have not mandatory
- Motion graphics (After Effects) or basic animation
- Experience running a brand, creator or college page
- Interest in tech, gadgets or consumer products
