Founding UI/UX & Graphic Designer

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a founding design role at a Y Combinator-backed consumer wearable startup, where you will own the entire visual presence of a premium AI-powered product from the ground up. Sitting at the intersection of product, brand, and marketing, this position carries real ownership and is expected to grow into a design leadership role as the company scales.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own end-to-end UI/UX design for the iOS app.
- Lead design across the website, social channels, communications, and email.
- Create event invitations and launch collateral that embody the brand.
- Define and maintain a unified consumer design language across every touchpoint.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2 to 3 or more years of professional design experience; this role is not suitable for recent graduates.
- A standout portfolio demonstrating exceptional aesthetic taste and strong graphic design fundamentals, this is the single most important factor.
- Experience delivering polished, user-facing design at a consumer company, or equivalent training in a rigorous design environment such as a top design school.
- Exceptional sensibility suited to a premium consumer hardware brand; B2B-only design backgrounds are not a fit.
- Ability to independently own a broad design stack spanning mobile (iOS), web, and marketing collateral.
- Proficiency in Figma and a strong command of graphic design, UI/UX, and brand design.
- Comfortable working on-site in London.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary of GBP 70,000 per year, plus meaningful early equity (up to 1 to 2%). Visa transfers are supported; new visa sponsorship is not available.
