About us: Jnana Farms is a gourmet and medicinal mushroom cultivation and processing operation, spanning multi-species mushroom cultivation, extract/tincture production, controlled-environment food crop research.
We're a small, close-knit team at Jnana Farms, grounded in a strong belief in sustainability, natural products, and a holistic approach to health
The role: Reporting to the Facility Head, the Lab Technician will support analytical quality control, batch documentation, and process operations across mushroom cultivation and downstream extraction workflows.
Responsibilities:
Perform aseptic technique for spawn production, substrate inoculation, and culture maintenance
Support dual-extraction tincture production
Run and maintain QC assays
Maintain accurate lab records within our formal SOP/document control system
General lab upkeep: equipment calibration, maintenance, and inventory management
Requirements:
Degree/diploma in microbiology, biotechnology, life sciences, or a related field
Working familiarity with aseptic/sterile technique
Comfort with standard lab instrumentation (balances, pH meters, autoclaves)
Meticulous documentation habits; comfortable working within a structured SOP system
Nice to have:
Prior mushroom cultivation, fermentation, or natural products extraction experience
Familiarity with FSSAI or food safety compliance.
