Role Description The Patent Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role involves reviewing technical disclosures and existing patents, conducting patentability and prior art searches, and preparing clear, structured patent documentation. The Patent Analyst will analyze competitive landscapes, track relevant industry trends, and generate reports that support strategic decisions on intellectual property. Daily tasks include collaborating with inventors, legal teams, and other stakeholders to clarify technical details, assess patent scope, and ensure alignment with applicable patent laws and guidelines. The role also requires maintaining organized records, meeting deadlines, and contributing to continuous improvement of patent analysis processes.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Patent Preparation and clear technical documentation
Demonstrated Analytical Skills for evaluating inventions, prior art, and technical data
Knowledge of Patent Law and related regulatory frameworks
Experience assessing Patentability and drafting patentability opinions
Ability to conduct Competitive Intelligence and monitor IP activities in relevant markets
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical discipline
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
High attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects
Prior experience in patent analysis, IP services, or technology consulting is an advantage
