Tax Director

StevenDouglas has been exclusively engaged on a Tax Director search for a Central Texas public accounting firm. This role is remote.
This firm has an impressive, progressive, 30% growth rate, YoY and offers strong operational leadership, a remote/flexible environment with a people-first culture with an existing tax team and infrastructure already built
This is a "working" Tax Director role and offers a realistic path to Tax Partner for the firm. This role will oversee business tax compliance, planning, and strategy for our clients. This role requires experience with corporate and pass-through entity tax, an ability to manage multiple engagements, and a strong focus on helping clients maximize tax efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be someone who wants to help shape and grow the tax practice long term, someone who is strategic, relational, and growth-minded and wants to be part of building something meaningful with an established team and platform behind them.
Responsibilities
Oversee business tax compliance, planning, and strategy for clients.

Qualifications
Experience with corporate, pass-through entity tax, closely held companies, partnerships.
Actively licensed CPA.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience.
Ability to manage multiple engagements.
Strong focus on helping clients maximize tax efficiency.
