Remote, US-only project work for commercial lawyers. You do the mark-up work you already know, against a defined playbook, and your written reasoning becomes training material for AI systems. No AI experience needed.
Scope
• Mark up commercial paper such as master services agreements, NDAs and data-processing terms, following the playbook and policy positions you are given
• Spot the issues in a draft and decide the company position and fallback for each
• Write a short, clear rationale for every change
• Bring technology-transactions know-how to real documents
• Coordinate with the project team so standards stay consistent
• Work on your own schedule against deadlines, fully remote
Qualifications
• JD from an accredited school and active bar status in a US jurisdiction
• Four or more years of transactional work, either in private practice or as company counsel, centred on negotiating and drafting agreements
• Fluent in the provisions that get argued over every day: liability caps, indemnities, confidentiality and data-protection terms
• Able to distil complex points into concise written analysis
• Careful, accurate and consistent in how you read a contract
Terms
Independent contractor, remote, US-based only, 20+ hours a week, $90 to $110 per hour, English-language work.
