We're looking for an experienced and confident Senior Receptionist to join our team at Lumino Frankton on a full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a busy environment and is passionate about providing an exceptional patient experience. As our Senior Receptionist, you'll be responsible for leading front-of-house operations, supporting the wider team, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Working closely with the Practice Manager and clinical team, you'll play a key role in creating an outstanding patient journey while helping drive practice efficiency and success.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering an exceptional patient experience from the first phone call through to treatment completion
Leading front-of-house operations and setting the standard for customer service excellence
Managing appointments, recalls, treatment follow-ups, and clinician schedules
Welcoming patients and ensuring a warm, professional, and positive practice environment
Processing payments, managing accounts, and assisting with finance enquiries
Maintaining accurate patient records and administrative systems
Supporting the onboarding and training of new reception team members
Collaborating closely with clinicians to optimise scheduling and patient care
Handling patient enquiries and resolving concerns with professionalism and empathy
Assisting with daily administration, banking, reporting, and general practice operations
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance practice performance
Supporting business initiatives that contribute to patient growth and practice success
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Previous dental reception experience, with senior reception or leadership experience highly regarded
Strong knowledge of appointment management, recalls, treatment plans, and patient administration
Experience using Exact Dental software or similar practice management systems
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and solutions-focused approach
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Confidence working independently while also supporting a collaborative team environment
A genuine passion for customer service and patient care
Valid New Zealand work rights
Be based locally in Queenstown or within an easy commuting distance to Frankton
