Senior Professional Services Banker
Remote – Equipment Provided
Start Date: ASAP (2 weeks from point of offer)
Contract: 6-Month W2 Contract (with the high possibility of extension or conversion)
Job Overview
Calculated Hire is in search of a Senior Professional Services Banker for our Fortune 100 Financial Services company. You will be part of the Law Firm Lending practice group, a specialized area supporting the lending and banking needs of law firms, accounting firms, professional services and consulting firms, as well as the individuals who own or are members of these firms, including attorneys and CPAs. You will be responsible for developing, managing, retaining, and growing client relationships while providing customized financial solutions that meet the unique needs of professional services firms and their partners.
Responsibilities
Manage an assigned portfolio of law firms, accounting firms, professional services firms, consulting firms, and their individual partners or members.
Develop and execute strategies to retain and expand client relationships.
Lead deal teams in identifying and delivering solutions to meet complex client needs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to grow banking relationships, generate referrals, and increase portfolio profitability.
Apply financial planning principles to help clients address their personal and financial goals.
Provide integrated and customized financial advice through a consultative approach.
Analyze client and portfolio data to identify opportunities, provide insights, and make recommendations.
Monitor portfolio performance, address issues, and ensure high-quality information is available to support business decisions.
Negotiate pricing and support profitable pricing practices for banking products and services.
Maintain strong knowledge of banking products, processes, technology, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Ensure lending and non-lending decisions and prospecting activities are appropriately documented.
Manage risk and minimize losses by completing required monitoring, controls, and verifications.
Identify and escalate operational risks, procedural discrepancies, and other issues in accordance with established guidelines.
Provide high-quality sales and service support while maintaining strong client relationships and service levels.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience managing and developing banking or financial services relationships.
In-depth relationship management skills.
Working knowledge of business development and a demonstrated track record of success.
Working knowledge of personal and commercial credit and non-credit products.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and resolve complex or ambiguous issues.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and influence others.
Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
Ability to meet applicable licensing and certification requirements.
Credit knowledge and skills consistent with applicable credit qualification standards.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with law firms, accounting firms, professional services firms, consulting firms, or their owners/partners.
Experience in Law Firm Lending or another specialized professional services lending practice.
Knowledge of the unique banking and lending needs of attorneys, CPAs, consultants, and other professional services professionals.
Experience working with high-net-worth or private banking clients.
Knowledge of financial planning principles and practices.
Experience providing customized financial solutions through a consultative approach.
Experience leading deal teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Experience with portfolio growth, client retention, and business development strategies.
Knowledge of applicable banking regulations, risk management practices, and compliance requirements.
Data-driven approach to decision-making and portfolio management.
U.S. Only: This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (the S.A.F.E. Act). This position will require a Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage
Licensing System and Registry. The Bank will instruct you on the registration requirements needed to comply with this requirement. A criminal background review and credit history evaluation will be required for this position as well as restrictions on performing in a real estate
agent capacity.
