Role Description The Senior System Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company’s IT and infrastructure systems. This role includes installing, configuring, and monitoring servers, networks, and related hardware and software to ensure high availability, performance, and security. The Senior System Administrator will manage user accounts, access controls, and backup and recovery processes, while proactively identifying and resolving system issues. Daily responsibilities also involve collaborating with engineering and operations teams, implementing security best practices, supporting development environments, and coordinating with vendors and partners for infrastructure-related needs. The individual in this role will document procedures, contribute to process improvements, and help scale systems as the company grows.
Qualifications
Strong System Administration skills, including server setup, configuration, monitoring, and optimization.
Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose, resolve, and prevent infrastructure and user issues.
Experience with Network Administration, including firewalls, switches, routing, VPNs, and network security practices.
Solid foundation in Information Technology, covering operating systems (Linux/Unix and Windows), virtualization, and cloud or hybrid environments.
Experience implementing security controls, patch management, and compliance-related configurations in enterprise environments.
Ability to script or automate routine tasks using tools such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CCNA, CompTIA Security+) are an advantage.
Prior experience in semiconductor, hardware, or deep-tech startups is a plus.
