Role Description The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will design, implement, and optimize embedded software for high-performance SoCs used in surveillance, telecom, IoT, and enterprise applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing firmware and low-level drivers, integrating software with hardware platforms, and collaborating closely with VLSI and system architecture teams to realize secure, reliable silicon solutions. The role involves performing in-depth debugging, profiling, and validation on target boards, writing clean and maintainable code, reviewing peer designs, and contributing to software architecture decisions. The engineer will also help define best practices, mentor team members, and participate in product roadmap discussions to ensure scalability and security-by-design. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.
Qualifications
3-5 years of Embedded domain experience along with Strong proficiency in C programming and Bash/Shell scripting.
Experience in developing applications for video and audio processing pipelines.
Good understanding of Linux internals, kernel device driver development, and device tree customization.
Hands-on experience with cross-compilation environments and building Linux kernels, bootloaders, and root file systems (rootfs).
Proficiency in creating and maintaining Makefiles and CMake-based build systems.
Hands-on experience in creating, integrating, and using static and dynamic libraries (.a and .so).
Experience working with embedded peripherals and interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, I2S, Wi-Fi, and related technologies.
Experience in camera sensor integration and ISP tuning will be an added advantage.
