About the Role
Porter Smartshift Logistics is looking for a creative thinker and visual storyteller to join our design team as a Senior Graphic Designer. This role sits at the intersection of design and brand shaping how our campaigns, digital presence, and communication look and feel across every touchpoint. Rather than designing one asset at a time, you'll think in terms of campaigns and systems ensuring every piece of work, from a single social post to a full campaign, feels consistent and connected to the larger brand story. You'll work closely with marketing, content, and business teams to bring ideas to life, while also helping shape the design standards that the rest of the team builds on.
What You'll Do
Interpret briefs independently and shape them into clear, compelling creative direction asking the right questions, not just executing instructions.
Develop original concepts across campaigns, digital, social, and brand communication, balancing creative ambition with brand guidelines and business objectives.
Deliver polished, high-quality designs across static and motion formats, applying brand colours, fonts, and layout hierarchy correctly, with a sharp eye for typography and composition.
Integrate AI tools into your everyday process for ideation, layout exploration, asset generation, or productivity and be able to speak to how you use them.
Own projects end-to-end, from concept through final delivery, managing multiple timelines without compromising quality.
Run efficient feedback cycles with copywriters, marketers, and cross-functional stakeholders, and present your design rationale with confidence.
Mentor junior designers, contribute to team critiques, and help raise the overall craft bar.
Keep an eye on how creative performs using engagement and campaign data to inform your design decisions and propose smarter iterations.
Stay plugged into design, digital, and AI trends, and bring fresh thinking into the team's work.
Not every day is a big idea. You'll also handle routine and high-volume production work, and adapt quickly to whatever the day demands.
What You Bring
A degree in Design (B.Des, B.Sc in Design, or equivalent), or an equally strong portfolio-backed background.
5+ years of experience in graphic or visual design.
A portfolio that shows range: branding, campaigns, digital, and visual storytelling including work built using Generative AI tools, which you can walk us through (tools, prompts, process).
Excellent command of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator. Premiere Pro & After Effects,would be appreciated.
A strong eye for detail, composition, and brand consistency across formats.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design thinking and rationale to stakeholders.
A sense of business acumen and comfort with numbers understanding how design choices connect to campaign and business performance.
The ability to work independently, prioritize across multiple projects, and collaborate well with copy, marketing, and business teams.
