We design and build articulated robot arms and turnkey robotic welding systems, with both hardware and software developed in-house in Bengaluru.Our focus is on making automation accessible to Indian manufacturers. Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Tending & CNC Programmer to join our team in Bangalore. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on the programming, operation, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of robotic machine tending cells and CNC machining operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and commissioning machine tending systems, creating and optimising CNC programs for turning and machining centres, and supporting the testing and validation of automated machine tending cells. The role involves hands-on work with industrial robots, CNC machines, grippers, sensors, safety systems, and machine interfaces.
The candidate will work closely with engineering, production, and customer teams to support installations, resolve technical issues, improve machining and automation performance, and ensure maximum uptime and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Program, operate, and optimise industrial robots for machine tending applications.
Create, modify, and optimise CNC programs for turning and machining centres.
Build, install, and commission robotic machine tending cells.
Integrate robots with CNC machines, sensors, grippers, and peripheral equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, CNC, and automation-related issues.
Support production, validate part quality, and improve cycle times and uptime.
Perform preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Document programs, setups, and troubleshooting procedures, and train operators as required.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with robotic machine tending and CNC programming.
Experience with industrial robots such as Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, KUKA, Universal Robots, or similar.
Strong understanding of CNC lathes, machining centres, and automated manufacturing systems.
Ability to independently create, troubleshoot, and optimise robot and CNC programs.
Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
Willingness to travel and work on customer sites when required.
Preferred Skills
CNC programming using Fanuc Controller.
Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, NX CAM, or equivalent.
Basic PLC troubleshooting and machine-to-robot interfacing knowledge.
Experience with CNC automation, unattended machining, and cycle time optimisation.
Familiarity with grippers, end-of-arm tooling, and machine tending system design.
