Role Description This part-time remote IT Security Analyst role at LT Distribution Europe focuses on protecting the organization’s information systems, networks, and applications. The IT Security Analyst monitors security events, reviews logs, and analyzes alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. The role includes performing risk assessments, supporting incident response activities, and documenting findings and remediation steps. The analyst collaborates with IT and business teams to implement security controls, update policies and procedures, and support security awareness efforts. The position may also involve assisting with compliance audits, maintaining security tools, and preparing concise reports for stakeholders.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security to assess risks, define controls, and support incident response.
Candidates should possess practical experience in Network Security to secure network infrastructure, monitor traffic, and manage firewalls and VPNs.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Application Security to help identify vulnerabilities, support secure development practices, and review configurations.
Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Information Technology to understand system architectures, operating systems, and cloud or on-premises environments.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH) or equivalent experience are beneficial.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
Effective communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and incident management processes is advantageous.
