Role Description The Faculty CSE role is a full-time, on-site position based at Amity University Bengaluru. The faculty member will design and deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions in core and elective Computer Science and Engineering subjects, ensuring alignment with the curriculum and academic standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing teaching materials, guiding student projects, mentoring students, evaluating assignments and examinations, and maintaining accurate academic records. The role involves active participation in research, publications, curriculum development, and academic committees, as well as contribution to departmental events, seminars, and collaborations with industry and other institutions. Faculty are expected to maintain professional ethics, support a diverse and inclusive learning environment, and engage in continuous professional development.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in core CSE domains such as data structures, algorithms, operating systems, computer networks, databases, and software engineering.
Knowledge of programming languages and development tools (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python, web technologies) and ability to conduct effective lab sessions.
Experience or interest in emerging areas such as AI/ML, data science, cybersecurity, cloud computing, or related specializations.
Demonstrated ability in teaching, academic mentoring, and designing course content and assessments that support diverse learning styles.
Research aptitude with evidence of publications, conference presentations, or ongoing projects in relevant CSE fields.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
Master’s degree (M.E./M.Tech) or Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering or closely related discipline from a recognized institution; higher qualifications preferred.
Ability to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to departmental activities, and engage with industry and academic partners for projects and internships.

Prior teaching experience at university level is desirable; relevant industry experience will be considered an added advantage.
