Assistant IT Manager

This role supports the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, endpoints, and cloud services, to ensure secure and reliable operations. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system performance, managing backups, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and coordinating with vendors and service providers. The Assistant IT Manager assists in enforcing information security policies, user access controls, and data protection standards aligned with ISO 27001 requirements. The role also involves supporting users, documenting IT processes, participating in IT projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business and regulatory needs.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems, including networks, servers, operating systems, and end-user devices.
Experience with information security practices, data protection, user access management, and compliance with standards such as ISO 27001.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, incident management, and root cause analysis.
Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions, cloud services, and basic database or application support.
Ability to document IT procedures, create user guides, and maintain accurate asset and configuration records.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to support users and work with cross-functional and vendor teams.
Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a regulated environment.
