Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer & Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for taking design concepts and transforming them into physical products using ArtCAM and DeskProto software.
Key Responsibilities
· Design & Modeling: Create detailed 2D vectors and 3D artistic reliefs using Autodesk ArtCAM.
· 3D CAM Programming: Utilize DeskProto to program complex 3D geometries, continuous rotation (4-axis machining), and multi-sided milling.
· Toolpath Generation: Define optimal machining strategies, select appropriate cutting tools, and configure feeds, speeds, and stepovers.
· Machine Optimization: Generate, simulate, and verify G-code to prevent machine crashes and ensure material efficiency.
· Production Support: Collaborate with machine operators to set up jobs, troubleshoot machining issues, and maintain quality control.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in ArtCAM (for artistic carving/engraving) and DeskProto (for 3D/4-axis prototyping).
· Machining Knowledge: Strong understanding of CNC router operations, toolpath strategies (roughing, finishing), and G-code.
· Tooling Intuition: Knowledge of cutting tool selection (ball nose, end mills, V-bits) relative to different materials (wood, plastics, soft metals).
· Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot toolpath errors and machining deviations.
Preferred Qualifications
· Hardware: Experience operating multi-axis CNC routers or milling machines.
