Key Responsibility/Accountability
KRA/KPI
Configure and
extend the industrial data/historian platform (e.g., AVEVA PI System,
AspenTech IP.21, or equivalent), including tag structuring, interfaces, and
dashboards, in coordination with the system integrator, within the defined
data model and standards, and keep the asset hierarchy aligned with the
equipment registry as both evolve
Sites configured and validated on schedule;
tag and interface standards followed;
dashboards delivered to spec; asset hierarchy and equipment registry
kept consistent
Build and
maintain the master data foundations and engineering models, including the
chemical properties database, equipment registry, product/process history,
and mass and energy balance models, against defined standards
Databases and
models built and validated to spec;
adopted by at
least one priority project
Support the
progressive digitalisation of engineering and plant process knowledge
currently held in documents, spreadsheets, and individual experience — for
example HAZOP studies, commissioning records, and process operating data —
into structured, reusable formats
Priority
processes digitalised and retrievable, with no loss of engineering or
safety-critical detail in conversion; output reused by at least one
downstream project or model
Support
technology and vendor evaluations with technical input and documentation,
working to defined evaluation criteria
Evaluation
inputs delivered on time; technical write-ups usable without rework
Follow OT
security and data governance practices in day-to-day build work, in line with
IT guidelines
No governance
or access-control exceptions raised on work delivered
Work with
site engineering, operations, and QA/QC teams to validate models and data
against real plant conditions
Validation
cycles completed with site teams; discrepancies closed or logged with owners
