2. About the Opportunity:
The Lead Field Service Electronics Technician role is responsible for delivering on-site technical support including emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the performance and reliability of power systems, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational uptime. The role involves travel to customer sites and requires adherence to safety and service standards.
3. Responsibilities:
Provide on-site emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance for power systems.
Travel daily to customer sites within the greater Manassas, VA area, with occasional overnight stays.
Operate company vehicle in compliance with safety policies.
Follow safety rules and participate in safety audits and compliance programs.
Collaborate with field service technicians and take direction from on-site leads.
Support customer needs outside the immediate region within the USA for a minimum of three weeks per quarter.
4. Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Minimum of two years’ experience in power systems, battery technologies, or electronics.
Current, unrestricted driver’s license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
Ability to perform physical tasks including assisted lifting/carrying over 50 lbs.
Willingness to travel and stay overnight as required.
Must pass customer entrance requirements, which may include background checks and drug screenings.
Candidates must reside in the greater Manassas, VA area unless active-duty military.
Preferred qualifications:
Associate’s degree in electrical or electronics, current enrollment in a bachelor’s engineering program, or relevant military training.
Three or more years of experience in power systems or electronics.
Electrical Technology Certificate.
Ability to read electrical schematics and apply troubleshooting and repair techniques.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The expected annual salary range for this role is $82,000 to $121,000.
Overtime eligibility applies.
Salary is based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and business considerations.
