DevOps Engineer

Responsible for establishing and improving the cloud engineering platform, tooling, automation and controls required for secure AI-assisted software delivery. The role will work closely with architecture and engineering teams to create a controlled, repeatable development environment using Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, GitHub and associated engineering tooling.
Key responsibilities
Review existing Azure environments, repositories, CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
Configure and improve Azure DevOps, GitHub and related engineering platforms.
Support implementation and administration of AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
Implement repository standards, branch policies, pull request controls and automated checks.
Establish appropriate identity, access, security and audit controls across development environments.
Automate build, deployment, testing and documentation activities where appropriate.
Support secure use of AI-assisted engineering capabilities within development workflows.
Implement technical controls and guardrails around approved AI tools, code usage and developer access.
Support migration or integration between Azure DevOps, GitHub and other engineering platforms where required.
Document environments, automation and operational practices for ongoing use.
Skills & experience
Strong Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps experience.
Good working knowledge of GitHub, CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
Understanding of DevSecOps, identity, access management and software supply-chain security.
Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.
Experience supporting secure, modern cloud-based software development teams
