Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Java Developer role based in Kolkata. The Junior Java Developer will support the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications used in production, logistics, and business operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, testable code, assisting in building and integrating microservices, debugging and resolving issues, and participating in code reviews under the guidance of senior developers. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, updating documentation, and helping improve application performance and reliability. The position is suited for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in enterprise Java development within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess core Programming and Java skills for building and maintaining applications.
Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including understanding of the software development life cycle and basic design principles.
Candidates should possess Spring Framework skills to develop and configure enterprise-level Java applications.
Candidates should possess Microservices-related skills to work with distributed, service-oriented architectures.
Candidates should have familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and basic API development.
Candidates should demonstrate good problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and debugging skills.
Candidates should have effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
Knowledge of version control systems (such as Git) and basic build tools (such as Maven or Gradle) is beneficial.
Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and follow secure coding and quality standards is expected.
