Job Description The Operations Manager (Amazon & E-commerce Warehouse, Orders, Replenishment) is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role oversees daily warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound processes, inventory control, and order dispatch for Amazon and other e-commerce platforms. The Operations Manager monitors order flow, ensures timely fulfillment, manages stock replenishment, and coordinates with procurement and marketplace teams to maintain optimal inventory levels. Responsibilities include supervising warehouse staff, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, optimizing storage and picking processes, and resolving operational issues that may affect delivery timelines or customer satisfaction. The role also involves tracking KPIs, analyzing operational data, implementing process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support scalable and efficient e-commerce operations.
Qualifications
Experience in e-commerce or retail operations management, with exposure to Amazon and other marketplace workflows.
Strong skills in inventory management, order processing, and warehouse coordination, including replenishment planning.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems, marketplace dashboards (e.g., Amazon Seller Central), and basic Excel or data tools.
Effective people management abilities, including team supervision, shift planning, and performance monitoring.
Capability to analyze operational metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and reliability in execution.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field; relevant experience can be considered in lieu of formal education.
Familiarity with safety standards, quality checks, and compliance requirements in warehouse and logistics environments.
Ability to work on-site in Chennai and manage fast-paced operations with a customer-centric and results-oriented mindset.
