Job Summary
We are looking for a Python Developer to help build and enhance Marrow, a modern data platform designed to simplify data access, query creation, workflow orchestration, and analytics. The ideal candidate will work closely with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to develop scalable backend services, data integrations, and workflow capabilities that empower Data Engineers and AI/ML teams.
Qualifications Required:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.
Python: Strong proficiency in Python and experience developing production-ready applications.
API Development: Good experience with REST APIs, API integration, authentication, request/response handling, and API testing.
Frameworks: Hands-on experience with frameworks.
RDBMS: Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL Server.
SQL: Ability to write complex SQL queries, joins, subqueries, indexes, and optimize database queries.
Version Control: Good knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
Debugging & Testing: Experience with debugging, unit testing, API testing, and writing maintainable code.
Development Practices: Understanding of OOP, data structures, exception handling, logging, and clean coding practices.
Deployment: Exposure to Linux, Docker, CI/CD, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) would be an advantage.
Joining: Immediate joiners preferred/required.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Python-based backend applications and services.
Work with large datasets for processing, analysis, and reporting.
Develop solutions for reading, writing, and transforming CSV, Excel, JSON, XML, and binary files.
Integrate PLC systems using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT, TCP/IP, and Serial Communication.
Build REST APIs and microservices for real-time data exchange.
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Develop logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for industrial applications.
Collaborate with frontend, hardware, and automation teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Troubleshoot communication, integration, and data-processing issues.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
Participate in requirement analysis, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance activities.

Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Python + API + RDBMS Developer based in Chennai, with some flexibility for remote work. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based applications and services that integrate with internal and external APIs and relational databases. The person in this position will build and optimize data models, write efficient queries, and ensure secure, reliable data access across financial and trading systems. Day-to-day work includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, implementing and testing features, troubleshooting production issues, and improving system performance and scalability. The role requires an immediate joiner who can work closely with technical and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions aligned with Kazhuga’s AI-driven ecosystem.
