What we're looking for
We're partnering with a well-established US-based consumer brand in the energy and supplements space to find a Senior Social Video Editor who knows how to build a video. Their small in-house creative team produces content for organic social and social ads, and they need a performance-minded editor who can turn raw footage into scroll-stopping content with minimal direction. This is a senior role for a thinker who can hit the ground running.
What You'll Be Doing
Take raw footage filmed in-house and independently build finished social videos, owning the story structure, hook, pacing, and payoff.
Edit a high volume of recipe videos (a core, recurring part of the role) alongside other social formats and campaigns.
Review performance reports and apply those learnings to future edits, doubling down on what drives watch time, engagement, and conversion.
Create multiple edit variations (different hooks, pacing, and lengths) to support channel, format, and performance testing.
Weigh in on shot lists and creative development so future shoots set up stronger edits from the start.
Handle music, sound design, color correction, and grading, then deliver to spec for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
Requirements
5+ years of video editing experience with a proven focus on organic social performance (content that's been tested and shown to work, not just polished).
A portfolio showing range across recipe or food content and other short-form social formats.
Deep fluency in what makes social content perform, e.g., audio/visual/text hooks, pacing, payoff.
Experience translating analytics and performance reports into concrete edit decisions.
Strong music mixing and sound design instincts, and working knowledge of color correction and grading.
Sharp attention to detail (one frame off is still off) and clear, two-way communication, taking direction well and giving constructive feedback upstream.
UGC-style editing (a true social video editor, not a clipper), with an instinct to structure high-performing videos from footage without direction.
Nice to Have
Experience editing paid social ads and adapting organic content into ad variations.
Motion graphics skills (animated text, captions, simple graphics) in tools like After Effects.
Background working with CPG, food, or beverage brands.
