Systems Analysis Senior Advisor

Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. As a Systems Analysis Senior Advisor, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges.
Responsibilities
Provide counsel and advice to top management on significant Application Development matters, often requiring coordination between organizations
Contribute to scalable solutions, write clean production-ready code, and collaborate effectively with product, data, and AI teams
Act as the principal designer for complex major systems and their subsystems utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs
Provide comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of application programming and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server, software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc.)
Work closely with client, IT management, and staff to identify application development solutions, new or modified programs, reuse of existing code through the use of program development software alternatives, or integration of purchased solutions or a combination of the available alternatives
Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost effective application programming solution
May code new or modified programs, reuse existing code through the use of program development software alternatives and/or integrates purchased solutions
Document, test, implement, and provide on-going support for the applications
Focus on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines
Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex Application Development assignments
Hands On Development
Implement features across frontend (React) and backend (Python/FastAPI)
Optimize performance of APIs, database queries, and UI components
Debug and resolve production issues
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
Collaboration
Translate product requirements into technical implementations
Work closely with product, data, and AI teams
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
Follow established coding standards and best practices
Qualifications
Master’s, or foreign equivalent degree, in computers or engineering or a Bachelor’s, or foreign equivalent degree, in computers or engineering
8+ years of experience
Full Stack Engineer for an enterprise AI-powered metadata management platform
Able to actively build and deliver features across the full stack
Backend (Core)
Python – FastAPI/Django /Flask
RESTful APIs – Design and implementation
SQLAlchemy ORM
Async programming (async/await)
Frontend (Core)
React – Modern React with hooks
JavaScript/TypeScript
State management (Redux/Context API)
Material-UI or similar component libraries
Database
PostgreSQL – Production experience, query optimization
SQL – Complex queries, indexing, schema design
Cloud and DevOps
AWS – Hands-on with multiple services (EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, EKS)
Docker – Containerization
Kubernetes/EKS – Container orchestration
CI/CD – Jenkins /GitLab/GitHub Actions
Architecture
Microservices – Experience working in distributed systems
System design – Scalability, performance, reliability
API patterns – REST best practices
AI/ML Integration
LangChain or LLM orchestration frameworks
OpenAI API integration experience
Prompt engineering and embeddings
Semantic search implementation
Specialized Databases
Neo4j or graph databases (Cypher)
Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector)
Data Engineering
AWS Glue or Apache Spark
ETL/ELT pipelines
Data profiling and quality assessment
The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $160,000 or the hourly equivalent.
