Program Lead

Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Program Lead, you will join Turnberry's Business Agility practice. Turnberry's Business Agility practice provides ways-of-working assessments with supporting improvement recommendations, Product Management and Agile Delivery education opportunities, team and enterprise-level Product and Agile coaching, and strategic staffing for each of the skills required to drive Agile and/or Project to Product transformation journeys.
Responsibilities
Define and own annual speaker program strategy — topic mix, audience segments, format mix (in-person/virtual/hybrid), geographic coverage
Manage the full speaker bureau lifecycle: nomination, selection, FMV rate-setting, contracting, training, annual re-certification, and faculty development
Partner with brand, medical affairs, and agency teams to develop MLR-approved speaker decks, invitations, and program materials
Ensure every program meets PhRMA Code, OIG guidance (including the 2020 Special Fraud Alert)
Own aggregate spend tracking and transfer-of-value capture in partnership with legal, compliance, and finance for CMS reporting
Manage relationships, SOWs, and performance scorecards with speaker bureau vendors (Cadent, Syneos)
Orchestrate speaker programs across the broader HCP engagement mix — field (reps, MSLs, KAMs), NPP (email, banner, EHR point-of-care), congress, and CRM-driven digital journeys
Partner with commercial analytics and the data platform team on attendee match-back to claims data
Deliver quarterly business reviews to brand and leadership; make evidence-based recommendations on speaker mix, program frequency, and channel reallocation
Qualifications
8–12+ years in pharma/biotech commercial, medical education, or promotional operations, with 5+ years directly running speaker bureaus, ad boards, or promotional peer-to-peer education
Prior launch experience strongly preferred (Rx, specialty, oncology, rare, or vaccines)
Deep working knowledge of PhRMA Code, OIG speaker program guidance, Sunshine Act/Open Payments, and pharma MLR review processes
Familiarity with fair market value (FMV) methodology, aggregate spend reporting, and HCP data ecosystems (IQVIA OneKey, Veeva OpenData, Definitive Healthcare, NPI/DEA)
Hands-on experience with at least one speaker/program platform: Veeva CRM Events Management, Steeprock, Cvent, or IQVIA OCE Events
Direct experience managing external speaker bureau vendors (Cadent, Syneos, Inizio, EVERSANA, Impetus, IQVIA, etc.)
Proven track record partnering across brand marketing, medical affairs, legal, compliance, procurement, and field leadership in a matrixed environment
Working knowledge of omnichannel HCP orchestration platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe, Veeva CRM)
The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $185,000 or the hourly equivalent.
