Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Supervise the shipping/receiving team, prioritizing daily tasks for accuracy and efficiency.
Train, coach, and evaluate team members, and partner with management on staffing and performance needs.
Determine cost-effective shipping methods and verify that completed orders are shipped or received correctly.
Oversee the shipping of all materials in the department, ensuring quality and timeliness.
Ensure accurate reporting for shipping, storage, and transfer of materials.
Maintain clear, accurate inventory records.
Communicate with couriers, delivery drivers, customers, and vendors to resolve issues quickly.
Maintain an organized warehouse, enforce safety protocols, and hold the team accountable to them.
Lead by example – partner with employees on daily activities and drive continuous improvement. Teamwork is key!
Immediate opening. Full-time employment status. This position requires an 8-hour workday, Monday-Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm (day shift). Additional hours and/or days based on demand. Hours are not flexible – schedule is set.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5-10 years of recent shipping supervisor experience.
Knowledge of WMS, printing ticket orders, MS office suite, email, internet navigation.
Strong leadership skills, must be able to develop talent within the team
Be willing to complete a criminal background check.
Strong work ethic – dedicated to getting the job done.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing up to 65 pounds on a frequent basis.
Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily.
Requires the ability to climb ladders to pick or put away products.
Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift).
